Antonella Rastelli, MD
Antonella Rastelli, MD, is Associate Professor in the Division of Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine at the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Rastelli obtained her MD at the University of Verona, Italy, in 1991, and shortly thereafter moved to Washington University for her residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Women’s Health in the Divisions of Bone and Mineral Diseases and Oncology. She focuses on bone health in women with breast cancer, and on post-transplant osteoporosis. At the 2018 MedConference, Dr. Rastelli will offer her presentation of her father, Dr. Giancarlo Rastelli, (1933–1970) a pioneer cardiac surgeon, scientist, and innovator who developed a novel surgical procedure that revolutionized the management of children with congenital heart disease.
