Stephen Hwang, MD
Dr. Stephen Hwang is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a practicing general internist who has worked as a physician serving patients experiencing homelessness for more than 3 decades. He is a Research Scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital’s MAP Center for Urban Health Solutions, Canada’s largest research center focused on health equity and the social determinants of health. Dr. Hwang holds a Canada Research Chair in Homelessness, Housing and Health, leading a team that develops and evaluates interventions to end chronic homelessness and to improve the health of people experiencing homelessness.
