Dr. Tamara Gafoor
Dr. Tamara Gafoor is a Pediatric Emergency Physician at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She completed her pre-med studies and graduated with honors in medicine from McGill University. Tammy, as she prefers to be called, then pursued her residency in Pediatrics followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She is the director of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Resuscitation Program for the McGill University Health Center and its affiliated hospitals and also an assistant director for the Montreal Children’s Hospital Disaster Planning Program. She has presented at numerous conferences nationally and has worked tirelessly to advocate and improve the quality of care provided to children across Canada. She is the founder of the non-profit organization More Than a Cure (www.morethanacure.com), an organization dedicated to empowering women in their fight against breast cancer, providing a holistic approach and critical financial assistance in the journey. During her free time, she enjoys travelling the world with her beloved husband, Dr Olumide Adeleye and spending time with her family and friends.
